Woke Botanicals

A Visual Exploration of a path to enlightenment with flowers by Karin Edgett

Woke is a frequently used word for poking fun at the those who have become more aware during the waves of consciousness that is taking place on this sweet earth, no matter where you live.

For me, this is the apocalypse. And this is in my lifetime! The integration of quantum physics and the normalization of meditation, and quite frankly, our own Divinity. For many of us, or power and ability to discern Truth is changing us rapidly. How did we get here?

You can credit great physicists like Einstein who understood the essence of love and energy and our individual power to shape it, you can credit the great spiritual leaders like Yogananda and Rumi, you can credit Steve Jobs, or the Internet or all the millions of seekers who challenged us to know, heal, communicate, connect, share, invent and question.

Sometimes, for fun, I categorize people into seekers or resisters. The seekers guide us forward, sometimes by leaps and bounds, the resisters prevent us from going forward too fast, or, help us destroy what no longer serves. You could also call these two categories the yin and yang, or creation vs structure.

But what feeds the great ebb and flow into the infinite cycle that does not keep us, the collective human race, stagnant and assures we continue to expand vs self-destruct?

Perhaps it is flowers. Every time they bloom, they synthesize fresh energy from the sun and the earth into a new consciousness. A consciousness that is free to feed our understandings and connections quietly, purely, without karma and judgment, only the vibration of love.

I realize there are many other factors and beings of support in our vast universe. But perhaps the flowers tip us in the right direction. Always reminding us that beauty is not stagnate, never the exact same from one moment to the next. Which of course seems a little frustrating to those who like to automate and replicate, left over of the zeal behind much of our industrial age.

Though macro lens I began to discover their influential energies emerging in an ever changing array of colors patterns shapes, smells and auras. And then they began communicating with me. Sharing bits of wisdom, raising my mood, and raising my consciousness or raising my awareness.

Sincerely, Karin
