how the arts open hearts

Flower of Life series by Karin Edgett, 3 pieces were juried into the Feast of Love show at Dunbarton Concert Gallery

  • On February 15th:

Coffee and conversation 2:30 – 3:30 pm
Open your heart and join Dumbarton Concerts and Inner City-Inner Child artists for a fascinating conversation over coffee, moderated by Georgetown University neuroscientist, Dr. Jessica Phillips-Silver.

During this season of love, we will explore how the arts promote empathy, connection, and healthy social-emotional development throughout our lives, from early childhood through adulthood.

Dr. Phillips-Silver will share her research on the positive effect of the arts on our brains individually, and as a society. Artists will discuss real life examples of how they have seen the arts transform the lives of people of all ages.

I will have 3 pieces in this juried art show.

Come and bring your voice to the conversation!
